National Sales Manager
Salary: £80 – £90k + Bonus + Company Car or Allowance
The NSM reports directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for all sales functions relating to their teams. Currently this involves managing both a field-based and head-office based team.
For the field you will be responsible for managing the Regional Business Managers and their Account Executives across the UK. With regards to the head-office team you will be responsible for managing a team of Healthcare Development Executives who currently focus on STPs/CCG as well as key primary care accounts remotely.
The main focus of this role is to successfully identify, maintain and cultivate business that leads the team to achieving all their sales objectives. In all cases you will drive a preference for Fontus Health’s branded medicines specifically within;
- Primary Care – General Practices, Federations, PCNs, Community based Dermatology Services and Mental Health Trusts, Wound Management, etc
- Secondary Care – Hospital departments relevant to our portfolio
You will take responsibility for the development and implementation of the commercial strategy and work closely with all departments to provide valued input in driving sales. You will take responsibility for a national budget, all sales forecasting activities and fiscal control of your discretionary spend.
You will have a sound knowledge of the NHS and its changes, taking every opportunity to form alliances to drive prescribing, preferably through switches. In addition to this, you will have experience and demonstrate successes in gaining formularies and driving change.
You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate good business acumen, and above all have enthusiasm and vitality to achieve in this challenging role. You must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in healthcare field sales management. Experience in dealing with both acute and community environments is essential for this position, although technical training on mental health will be given to the successful candidate.
