Quality Assurance Officer – Medical Devices
Salary £28,000 – £35,000 per annum + up to £3,000 Discretionary Bonus
Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Head Office based in Walsall, West Midlands.

We are a fast-growing private healthcare company and due to rapid product expansion, we are recruiting an experienced Quality Assurance Officer for Medical Devices to join our Regulatory team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual as this job offers variety of working in a quality role but also being involved in regulatory work. As a small but growing company with an expanding pipeline of products you most certainly won’t be bored.

Reporting directly to the Regulatory Manager you will be responsible for supporting the day to day management of the QMS to ISO 13485:2016 along with continuous improvement to the existing system.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Transfer from MDD to MDR
  • Updating and writing SOP’s, risk management files, post market surveillance documents and clinical evaluation reports;
  • Raising CAPA’s, change controls, Non- conformances, Supplier Corrective Actions (SCARs) and providing resolution where applicable to support maintenance of certification/ standards;
  • Reviewing and approving validation documents and Product Quality Reviews reports (PQR’s);
  • Compliance to applicable medical device regulations and standards, including the MDR requirements;
  • Compliance to GDP; and
  • Proof reading and approval of product labels

Key requirements:

  • Degree in Life Sciences.
  • Significant and demonstrable experience of working in a similar Quality Assurance related role within the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Excellent working knowledge of ISO 13485: 2016, MDD and MDR 2017/745.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to present at different levels of the organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross functionally across the business, with suppliers and customers,
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight and challenging targets and deadlines.

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum + Company Car or Allowance + Bonus – Full Time

Territory: All area’s, please submit your CV clearly stating the CCG’s and area’s you have experience and key contacts in.

Candidates must live within territory, have experience of Primary and Secondary care and have a good portfolio of key contacts within the dermatology field. 

You will be responsible for achieving sales targets by delivering product campaigns and activities to target audiences identified across Primary Care, Secondary Care, and HCPs in wound management. The role also involves working with CCG’s and relevant stakeholders responsible for establishing formularies, where you will seek to gain inclusion of our products.

We are seeking a passionate individual who has a real hunger to succeed with an aim to increase business and activity across the local healthcare economy. You will have first class professional sales skills, strong business insights with an understanding you are promoting company image and values, as well as first class products.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering and executing effective and efficient territory planning to deliver targeted territory sales performance within an agreed budget;
  • Achieving KPI’s, call targets, and sales targets;
  • Preparing analysing and reporting on calls in order to progress the relationship and develop skills;
  • Liaising with a variety of customers including CCG leads, GPs, Nurses and Pharmacists to produce immediate sales impact whilst taking responsibility for building and maintaining strong relationships;
  • Using clinical and product knowledge to influence sales;
  • Practical application of knowledge of our products and effective use of clinical evidence
  • Planning, managing, arranging and attending stand meetings, trade shows, events and campaigns etc

Key Requirements

  • Experience and capability of delivering against sales strategy, including effective cross functional working
  • Excellent planning and organising ability
  • The ability to diagnose market trends and data to identify growth opportunities
  • Highly motivated, influential individual proven to achieve targets
  • Exceptional selling, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience of CRM systems
  • Full UK Driving licence and access to own vehicle for business use
  • Eligible to work in the UK
